Collab Grab Bag Layouts

On Friday, six of the fantastic designers at FunkyPlaygroundDesigns released a collab grab bag with six mini kits and six add-ons all in the same color palette.  I'll have to say that I have really been enjoying myself with this grab bag.  I've already created three layouts with the bag.

Here's my layout with Michelle Batton's portion of the collab.  It uses both her mini and her add-on.

This layout was created with Girl Boy Girl Designs mini kit.

And last, but by no means least, here is the layout I created with Pixie Perfect Designs mini kit.

Are you ready for a little preview of the collab grab bag?

At only $6.00, I think this is a bargain that should not be missed.  I recommend heading over to the store, picking up the grab bag and then scrapping some fabulous layouts.  BTW, if you leave a link to a layout you created with the grab bag in the comments, I will definitely stop by and give you some love. :O)

What do Mormons believe?

Have you ever wondered what Mormons actually believe?  Joseph Smith actually created a document called the 13 Articles of Faith that summarize the beliefs of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I wanted to post them here in case anyone was curious about what members of the church believe.

  1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

  2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.

  3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

  4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.

  6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

  7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.

  8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

  9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

  10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

  11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

  12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

  13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Hosting a Template Challenge.

I am hosting a template challenge at FunkyPlaygroundDesigns for the next two weeks.  Here is the template I created for the challenge.

You are not required to use FPD products to participate in our challenges.  One random person who participates in the challenge will win a $5.00 coupon to the FunkyPlaygroundDesigns collab store.

Template challenges are a fun way to get a layout together quickly.  Which isn't that our number one goal?  And as a bonus you might win something. :O)  Hope to see you there.

Scrapping My Sweetie

One of my favorite scrapping subjects is my husband David.  I swear I could scrap pictures of him every day and it would make me happy.  Alas, he won't pose for that many pics. lol  However, I manage to scrap as much as I can with the photos I get.

The last couple of weekends, I've done layouts about David for challenges at OScraps. I had a lot of fun with both of these layouts and decided to share them with all of y'all.

This first layout, which is a two-pager, was created for Fei Fei's Designer Spotlight Challenge at the end of January.  Not a lot of elements on this one.  I wanted to make sure that the focus was on the photo and the letter.  But I really like the way this layout turned out.  Even a week later. :O)

You can find the credits for the left side of Love Letter to You here and here for the right side.

I created this layout for the current Designer Spotlight Challenge for Paislee Press and One Little Bird.  To be honest when I first started working with the template, I was having a hard time creating something I really liked.  But as I kept going, I found that I began to create something I really liked.

You can find full credits for The Man I Love here.

I hope you enjoyed looking at some of my latest creations.

Until Next time.
